Romain is 18 and only trying to have a good night. First stop: his dealer. Then, party time. Easy. Except it isn’t. On the way, he finds an injured woman on the side of the road and picks her up, like some bad decision with good intentions. That’s when the evening starts doing that thing nights shouldn’t do: slipping into surreal hallucinations.
The drug-fueled party vibe turns into a nightmarish loop where everything feels slightly off, like your brain is losing the settings menu. It’s not interested in lectures. It’s more like a stylish reality-check you didn’t ask for, delivered with a wink and a little bit of dread. “MadS” moves fast, looks sharp, and leaves you wondering whether the scariest part was the choice or the after-effect.

Romain, 18, hat nur eine Mission: erst beim Dealer abbiegen, dann zur Party. Klingt nach einem normalen Freitag. Spoiler: Das wird es nicht. Auf dem Heimweg hält er an, weil eine verletzte Frau am Straßenrand liegt. Gute Tat? Klar. Nur blöd, dass die Nacht danach immer weiter kippt. Aus dem Trip wird eine halluzinatorische Abwärtsspirale, in der Realität und Wahn sich gegenseitig die Hand geben. Plötzlich ist die Musik nicht mehr nur Party-Lärm, sondern Kopfkino mit Denkverbot. „MadS - Im Rausch der Nacht“ ist dabei erstaunlich klug: weniger moralische Predigt, mehr Gefühl von „zu spät gemerkt“. Eine Frankreich-Story über Risiko, Wahrnehmung und die Frage, was eigentlich in der Tüte war.
